Paul Wheatley, Executive Director of Cantebury SMU, came to us wanting to completely rebrand the Episcopal college ministry at SMU in Dallas. Canterbury SMU has been around for years at SMU and only attracted a handful of Episcopalians on campus.

Paul's desire was to broaden the reach of the ministry and attract Christians and non-Christians alike, across all denominations. We chose "Canterbury Commons" for the name which is easily recognized by Episcopalians looking for their local Canterbury House, but can also simply be called, "The Commons," which brings a fresh identity to the ministry in the eyes of the larger student body.
